Classroom Block and Toilets
We began 2009 with an unfinished classroom, office and staff room. Over the course of first term (February – April) we were able to put in window glasses, plaster interior walls and finish the floor. In May we painted the walls, put in desks for the students and teachers. In the last week of May it was decided we should open the school, and we were ready! In June as we opened we were able to begin the construction of a 2nd room for a computer lab and toilets. By the end of June construction had begun on a further two classrooms which would complete this first block. July saw construction continue of the walls for the computer lab and foundation and walls of the two additional classrooms. By mid July roofing and bricking up of the computer lab was going on, classrooms were ready for the ring beam to be poured, and the curtain wall for the toilets was being worked upon. By the end of August Roofing was complete, doors and window frames were installed, and the interior plastering and flooring was nearing completion. In September the trench has been dug to construct a verandah around the entire building, and the window glasses are being installed.
“To God be the Glory”
December 13th, 2009 Update As 2009 comes to a close we are excited to see the Seminary’s first classroom nearing completion. All that remains is a few touches around the windows, and the plastering of the verandah. These small jobs will be completed in the next few days. This has been a wonderful development as the Seminary takes these early steps forward. We are excited about what God has in store for us in 2010. We give Him all the glory!
