End of Year Speech

I am Nasinguza Dereck.
Our Guest of Honour, the Rector; Headmaster Bishop McAllister College; distinguished guests, Ladies and Gentlemen.
I welcome you on behalf of Seminarians.
Bishop McAllister Anglican Seminary is the first of its kind in the Church of Uganda! We are happy to be here.
We started her in May this year, and we have been well catered for.
For our academics here, we have been blessed by having good teachers, that is ….
They have done everything possible to help us learn, they are always with us in the classroom, in the Chapel, during games time and they make sure we sleep well in the dormitories.
We sincerely appreciate what they have done for us.
In co-curricular activities we play soccer, netball, we participate in singing, and we take part in the Rectors Challenge, and all the time the teachers are there to guide us.
A healthy body makes a healthy mind. We have health in that we have been provided with good meals, boiled water for drinking, and we sleep in clean well spaced dormitories. This has kept our academics stable and excellent.
We wish to thank the teachers for being there for us. Rev. Twinamatsiko William, who has endeavored to be with us every Sunday.
We thank our Layreader, Byamani Titi who helps us spiritually. We also thank Joseph who stays with the boys in the dormitory.
We can’t forget teachers of the secondary school who have been with us in preparation for the Christmas Banquet and Pageant. We thank you very much Master Asiimwe Alex, teacher Shallon and everyone who has been with us.
Finally we would like to express our gratitude to our beloved Rector whose contributions towards our welfare and academic standing is beyond words.
We shall practically express our inner feeling by giving him …..
That is what we call a standing ovation.
