EAGLES NEST (Boys Dormitory)
1st Term 2010
We are pleased to report that construction on the boys dormitory continued very nicely during the 1st Term of 2010. By the end of term we were ready to pour the ring beam. We continue to hope that if all goes well we will begin to put on the roof during second term.
January (18th) 2010
A Great Start To the New year! Work was off to a quick start at the Eagles Nest soon after we entered the New Year. The student workers were the first to report back, and resumed their digging the construction site extending over to the site of the future Chapel of St. john the Evangelist. Soon to follow were the builders, who in no time at all had the foundation walls marked out and began to dig. The good news is that this past Friday (15th) the foundation walls were complete. A great beginning to the New Year!
December 2009
Plans for the Eagles Nest, the Seminary’s first dormitory have been revised from a storied building to that of one level. After looking at all our options we found the cost of a storied building to prohibitive. The new plans shown below consist of two dorm rooms and a small apartment for a staff member. Upon completion the building is going to look very smart. Since the end of term there have been five students digging away at the proposed site. They have done an excellent job and the site is now ready after just a short time. The good news is that already sufficient funds are on hand that we can begin construction in January 2010 of at least the foundation and part of the walls. We will go as far as we can. We continue to be excited about how greatly we are blessed. We are so grateful for all the continued support. May you be blessed! “To God Be The Glory!” Preparing the Way!
