"SOARING TO GREAT HEIGHTS"

Dear Friends,

Greetings from all of us at Bishop McAllister College and Bishop McAllister Anglican Seminary. I’m happy to report that the new school year has begun very well.  We spent January  renovating & repairing some of our buildings in preparation for the students arrival in early February.

Almost looks new again!

New Window Glasses

Finally opening day arrived and students began to report for the 1st term of the new school year. Everybody was happy to see one another again.

Shortly after opening we welcomed some visitors from Canada. Darryl & Rosemarie Kingston of Quispamsis. Rosemarie is chair of the Child Sponsorship Committee back in Quispamsis. Darryl blessed us with some quality electrical work during their visit (pictures next letter).

This year our first priority was to ensure that each student should have their own bed. Much to my shame I hadn’t realized the extent to which the students were sharing beds. So we took a step of faith and placed an order believing that the funds to pay for them will come. Already we have taken delivery of 30 double bunk beds and 40 triple bunk beds have just arrived this past week  (an additional 180 beds in all). Needless to say students were pleased with this development although now are squeezed for space.

We were also very happy to welcome the new Seminarians in Primary Five (grade five) as well as the returning classes. (Next newsletter will be fill with all that is happening there).

I’m also so happy to report that we made tremendous progress last  year on the Chapel of St. John the Evangelist. Just before we reached the ring beam. Please check out the Chapels page to see all the photos as the progress was made. ( Chapel of St. John the Evangelist )

On a last note I invite you to check out the seminarians sing “We shall mount up with wings like Eagles”.   (Words composed by Seminarians and Tr. Matson)

It was such a wonderful  way finish up 2010, a year full of great blessings, and to anticipate what God had in store for us in 2011. Already we are seeing great things!

“We are making a difference”

May God bless you all!
