"SOARING TO GREAT HEIGHTS"

“We are making a difference”

Dear Friends,

Greetings from all of us at Bishop McAllister College and Anglican Seminary! We are just starting our 2nd term of the school year with students beginning to report for the new term yesterday. We are looking forward to an exciting and busy time over the course of the next eleven weeks.

Yet it seems like only yesterday when we were opening for the new school term.  First term went by very smoothly with new students settling and adjusting to their new environment. Of course while lots of work was done with the books, there were also our usual activities outside of the classroom. The Resurrection Race was as usual a big hit for everyone, apart from the Rector who seems to be aging poorly.

Please check out the full story at www.bishopmcallisteranglicanseminary.net/resurrection_race_2011.htm

Of course for all of us at this end the highlight of the term was the Annual District Soccer Competitions where Bishop McAllister College emerged the District champions for the sixth time in seven years. Congratulations team!

I’m also happy to report that we continue to make good progress on the Eagles Nest (boys dorm). Lights and window glasses were installed in one of the rooms so the boys could move from the classroom they were staying in to the dorm. By the end of the term concrete floors had been poured in all the rooms, the veranda constructed, and construction of pit latrines had begun. This is wonderful progress. To god be the Glory!

With another good opening week we are looking forward to a great term, filled with many activities. Of course this is the term where we get serious about physical health and will have the 5th Annual Rectors 5 Km Challenge. The Rector is very much in need of everyone’s prayers.

We would like to send a special thanks out to John Jeffries and all the Classic Country folks and their guests who recently held their annual Classic Country Gospel Show to benefit the school and its ministry.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we continue to remember you in ours! We continue to give thanks for God’s grace, and for your prayers and financial support!

“We are making a difference”

May God bless you all!

Paul
